It’s been three months since I made the decision of being vegan and it was the best decision I EVER made. Every day is part of a learning curve for me. Making a solid transition to veganism has involved really trying to become informed about the food industry and what this entails. The knowledge of what goes into our food and the diseases we have to endure has made it a very easy decision to transition.
Although, the transition part of it has had its good and bad days. The last 3 months have not been smooth sailing. I have two obstacles to overcome: Cheese and SWEETS! My love for cheese has really been in the middle of me achieving success. But the more I read up on diary and how harmful it is to our bodies it does become better.
Meal prepping helps so much! Cooking my own food and knowing that I am eating not only healthy but 100% Vegan brings me so much joy … but then the weekend comes. Which includes birthday dinners, Sunday dinners, family dinners, get-together’s with friends … with comes along with eating horrible, fattening (and unfortunately yummy) food.
But, this is why I have been living the Vegan life during the week and Vegetarian on the weekends. I guess you can stay I am still in my “transitioning phase”. I need to keep telling myself WHY I want to become vegan and that I am changing my life for the better. I am keeping myself informed on the harm that this food industry has done to us and how I want my health to get better, also.
The most positive thing I can say that I have experienced since going vegan is the energy that I have now. I have so much more energy to the point where I stopped drinking coffee. I do not feel tired after I eat. I don’t even feel full, but satisfied. I feel great!
I made the decision to become vegan and now I am making it a goal to become 100% Vegan May 1st.
I chose to become vegan and now I need to own it!
